💡Smart Account

Note: The term "Smart Account" or "Smart Wallet" tends to mean different things across different blockchains, but the core concept remains the same - using smart contracts in place of a regular wallet for the purposes of enhanced functionality.

Funding your smart account

The very first step before being able to interact with Pondora is funding the Pond, a smart contract whereby the owner retains full custody of any locked assets. Once locked at this address, the owner is able to then opt in to any number of Pondora Modules by associating specific rules with specific assets. These rules govern how and when third parties may unlock these assets on the owner's behalf. The most basic example of such an interaction would be listing an NFT for sale, which would allow unlocking it on the condition that a specific number of tokens are also paid to the owner.

Staking Rights and Rewards

Any assets locked at the Pond address does not require that a specific stake key is used. In practice, this allows participants to retain both voting rights and staking rewards associated with any ADA locked in their Ponds.
