Smart Account intents are not limited to simple trades or transfers. Because you can define a broad range of rules on the conditions under which actions are taken, your Smart Account becomes a programmable engine for complex financial logic - without ever giving up custody.

What You Can Automate

• Trading strategies - define multi-step strategies like dollar-cost averaging, trailing stops, or conditional rebalancing. Your intents describe the rules; execution happens automatically when conditions are met.
• Automated workflows - chain actions together so that one outcome triggers the next. For example, swap the proceeds of a filled limit order directly into a lending position.
• Scheduled payments - set up recurring transfers on a defined schedule, such as subscription payments or salary distributions.

None of this requires a centralized bot, a third-party service, or giving your keys to anyone. The rules live in your intents, and the network enforces them.

Scheduled Payments

A scheduled payment is a signed intent that says "send N tokens to address X every period." Once signed, the intent sits on-chain and is executed automatically at each due time.

• Recurring or one-time. Set up a daily, weekly, monthly, or any custom interval - or schedule a single payment at a future date.
• Self-custodial. The funds remain in your Smart Account between executions; the intent only authorizes the specific transfer at the specific time.
• Cancellable. Revoke the intent at any time - cancellation is free and instant from the UI.
• Verifiable. Every execution lives on-chain; you can audit the full history of any scheduled payment.

A small service fee of 1 ADA per execution is paid to the coordinator network, covering operator and network fee costs.
